Erin Dancey
My name is Erin Dancey and I am a Masters of Health Science in Kinesiology candidate going into my second year of the program. I completed my Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Guelph.
I am interested in the effect of acute experimental pain on sensorimotor processing. My research will investigate the changes that occur to the properties of nerve impulses and motor output after sensitization and will utilize transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and somatosensory evoked potential (SEP) techniques.
What motivated you to do a Masters at UOIT?
I was motivated to do my Masters at UOIT as I was very interested in cortical plasticity and wanted to perform research at as Graduate studies level.
What have you enjoyed the most so far?
I have had an opportunity to learn a lot during my first year of this program and I look forward to collecting and analyzing data during my second year.
