Julian Daligadu
My name is Julian Daligadu and I am a Masters of Health Science in Kinesiology candidate going into my second year of the program. I completed my undergraduate Bachelor of Health Science degree at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology as well. My field of interest is in neural cortical asymmetry in regards to hand dominance. Recently, we used transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) techniques to further identify excitability differences within the motor cortex. My future research will look to identify neural asymmetries in regards to other structures such as the spinal cord and the cerebellum.
What motivated you to do a Masters at UOIT?
The fourth year practicum program at UOIT allowed me to get an insight into the research that was being done by Dr. Murphy in the Neuroscience and Exercise Rehabilitation Lab. I was very interested in this field of study and therefore wanted to continue performing research at a Graduate studies level.
What have you enjoyed the most so far?
I have enjoyed the learning opportunity that I have had through this Masters program. I have gained a great amount of knowledge from the start of the Masters program to where I am now and will have the opportunity to apply this knowledge when I am collecting data and writing my thesis.
